Katie’s favorite part of dentistry is helping patients feel confident showing off their smiles. Her top dental advice? Floss your teeth and scrape your tongue—your mouth will thank you! She couldn’t survive without her electric toothbrush. When she’s not making smiles sparkle, Katie is behind the camera doing photography, baking cookies, or sneaking a Reese’s peanut butter cup. Her dream vacation is a cozy mountain getaway. Her kids and her dog, Kasch, keep her laughing nonstop, and if she could meet anyone in history, John Lennon would be at the top of her list.
Shannon
Shannon’s superpower is helping even the most nervous patients feel calm, comfortable, and right at home. She loves turning dental fears into smiles and high-fives. Her favorite dental product is her electric toothbrush (can’t live without it!). Shannon chose Hometown Dental of Newton because of the team’s incredible kindness and always-ready-to-help attitude. Her dream vacation includes sunshine, a beach, and maybe Chris Hemsworth casually walking by 😉. Fun fact: Shannon sang to her husband at their wedding—and yes, it was amazing.
Bella
Bella loves seeing how a great smile can completely change someone’s life—and confidence level! Her must-have dental product is her electric toothbrush, and she’s passionate about teaching patients how acidic foods and drinks affect their teeth (and health). Her favorite thing about Hometown Dental of Newton? The laughter, friendships, and how much the team truly loves each other. If Bella weren’t in dentistry, she’d be delivering babies as an OBGYN or labor and delivery nurse. When she’s off the clock, you’ll find her binge-watching The Hunger Games or Harry Potter with a cold brew in hand. Her love language? Cheese sticks at 10:30am, pasta, or a solid burger and fries.
Madi
Madi’s love for dentistry started with her own childhood dental journey—thanks to an awesome dentist and orthodontist, she got the smile of her dreams and now helps others do the same. She keeps the office laughing daily, especially when patients drop gems like, “The fillings in my mouth are older than you!” Her ride-or-die dental product is Oral-B Glide Floss (mint flavor only). Madi runs on coffee or a 1st Ave tea and unwinds with Dancing with the Stars. She and her family are dreaming of their next beach vacation, complete with sandy toes and George Strait on repeat. Fun facts: Madi married her high-school sweetheart and did competitive gymnastics for 10 years!
Shawnae
Shawnae loves changing the way people feel about the dentist—turning anxiety into confidence and fear into “Hey, that wasn’t so bad!” moments. She’s a huge fan of expanding floss and is the office MVP when it comes to explaining insurance and maximizing benefits. Shawnae loves being part of the Hometown Dental team because they’re some of the most genuine, kind-hearted, down-to-earth people you’ll ever meet. Her favorite comfort food is a lasagna recipe she learned while living in Italy (yes, it’s as amazing as it sounds). Around town, you’ll find her playing at the park with her kids, enjoying local restaurants, and shopping at Grey Moon Market.
Jen
Jen’s dental journey began when she married a boy who dreamed of becoming a dentist—he even polished her teeth when they first started dating (true love 💙). Her favorite dental product is floss—she wasn’t always a flosser, but now she never leaves home without it. Jen loves the Hometown Dental team because what you see is what you get—genuine people who feel like family. She starts every day with hot coffee and admits she’s fully addicted to her afternoon Bubbl’r. A Friends superfan, Jen can quote nearly every episode. Her happy place? The kitchen, baking and cooking for the people she loves.
Joy
Joy has always loved working with people, and dentistry gives her the perfect opportunity to build meaningful relationships while helping patients. Her day is made if her patients feel comfortable and at ease during their visits. She believes great care goes hand-in-hand with a warm, welcoming experience. Her dental must-have item are floss picks—easily her most-used product (and yes, she’s been known to floss during her commute). Joy loves being part of a dental team that delivers exceptional patient care and keeps the laughter going every single day. Strong iced coffee is Joy’s go-to fuel, and when she needs an extra boost, she reaches for a Celsius. Outside the office, she enjoys Pad Thai from Viet Thai, soaking up sunshine, or heading to the mountains for some fresh air. Most of all, Joy loves spending time with her husband, two kids, and their dog—who keep her life busy, fun, and full of smiles.
